Commission opening in

Contact me when open

Q: When are your commissions open?

A: The home page says when the next commissions opening is. If you would like to be one of the first notified of commissions opening then get on our contact list! The link for this is also on the home page. We typically open 2-3 times a year.

Q: How old do I have to be to order?

A: You must be at least 18 years of age or older to order.

Q: How do I order a costume?

A: When commissions are open you submit a quote through the link on the homepage. You’ll be contacted shortly after requesting a quote with your quote amount, and then you can secure your spot and order if you choose.

Q: What are your prices?

A: Prices can be found in the Pricing tab.

Q: Do I need concept art or a reference sheet to request a quote?

A: Yes! A clear SFW (safe for work) reference sheet with front, back, and ideally side views of the character are required. However, you can opt for an artistic liberty suit instead, and state in your quote that you would like this. In this case you would not need a reference sheet. If you have a character you would like a costume of and do not have a reference sheet, one can be created by Cedar Ridge Creations at additional cost. Please email cedarridgecreations752@gmail.com if you are interested in a reference sheet before submitting a quote.

Q: What materials do you use in your costumes?

A: My costumes/fursuits are made from high quality faux fur from either Howl or Big Z Fabrics. Minky and mochi minky are used for some detail work as well as neoprene for claws and teeth. Lycra or neoprene is used to line the inside of the head, as well as to line hand paws. Feet paws are lined with quilted broadcloth. Teeth and claws can also be plastic or resin depending on design and customer preference. Lining for digi grade effects in body suits are made of Lycra. Head bases are made of expanding foam as well as upholstery foam that is carved to shape. Head bases can be made from other materials if requested (3-D printed plastic, resin, etc.).

Q: Are you open to try exotic animals or rare species?

A: Absolutely! Keep in mind that we are most experienced with canines and felines, but more than willing to try new things!

Q: Can I request my suit be done by a certain date?

A: It highly depends on the date and where you would be on the commission list. However, we’ll do our best to accommodate dates when possible, but not to the point that it would sacrifice quality of our costumes.

Q: Do I need to send you a duct tape dummy for my costume?

A: If you are ordering a bodysuit with your costume then yes. Here is a tutorial for making a duct tape dummy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mFz0WmpSmI The duct tape dummy must be sent upon the deadline given when you order your costume, or it will delay your costume delivery date.

Q: Do I need to send you shoes for foot paws?

A: No, our feet paws are made with a slipper-like design without built-in shoes.

Q: Can I change my design after I already paid the deposit?

A: Only if your commission has not been started. You can request a change before the commission is started, however, it may raise your price, particularly if it involves an additional fur color or more intricate designs. Please email or message us as soon as possible if you need any changes to your design.

Q: How long will my order take to complete?

A: This depends on where you are at on the que upon ordering. Completion time can vary from a couple of months up to a year. We try our best to get costumes done as timely as possible, but please be patient. Quality takes times!

Q: Is there a way I can get a free suit?

A: Stay up to date on our social media accounts. There may be opportunities for free suit parts given away in random drawings. Stay tuned!

Q: What forms of payment do you take?

A: At this time we can take Venmo or PayPal.

A: Yes! Please note in your request form if you would like a special feature like this. We have created a costume with embedded LEDs, and would like to do more with electronics as well as moveable jaws.

Q: Will you create suits for Adult Content (NSFW)?

A: No. I have no problem with people choosing to make or utilize this type of content. However, I am personally uncomfortable crafting it.

Q: Can you make a fursuit in another maker’s style?

A: No, sorry. My style is my style!

Q: Do glasses fit in your suits?

A: This can be accommodated for if made as a special request. However, if you don’t note this to us then extra space won’t be made for glasses.
